If your only having to charge it every other day, thats not bad at all...

Question is...why don't you charge it every night?

Also, make sure your bluetooth is turned off. If you aren't using it, then it is wasting battery power.

Yeah, turning bluetooth off when not in use is key. Leaving it on, battary is drained half way after a day at work without making any calls. There should be an option to set a timer to automatically turn it off...similar to how the IR port turns off if not active after a certain amount of time.

You can make a shortcut to bluetooth by having it as the first item in "my shortcuts" under the settings menu. Then by pushing the joystick to the left while in standby it will activate the bluetooth menu.
Now only if there was an easier way to get to the list of shortcuts other than having to go to settings and then scroll to "my shortcuts". This is the one shortcoming the phone has compared to the T616. Other than that, I really like the phone.

To get to shortcuts quickly just memorize the keys; from idle desktop just push joystick and push # then 9. Should be able to get there in less than half a second. Another good one to know is push joystick and push * then 7 this is used to get to the accessories menu for those of us who use the incredible Salling Clicker.

Note: You can use number pad to navigate menus (1 for first menu item, 2 for second etc.). To navigate first level of desktop use number pad as a 3x4 grid of icons where 1 is top-left and # is bottom-right.

Is there an extended-life battery available from SE? I have searched Google but couldn't find anything specific for the T637. If someone knows the SE part number for an extended battery please post. Thanks! 🙂

Many ATT users are upset because the up mode on the joystick sends them to mmode.

Does it work the same way on Cingular's version of the phone?

No, on Cingular up is instant messaing, but Cingular users still have the more button on the right soft-key which brings up a SE built-in shortcut list.

At the idle desktop screen just push more and there is is. A built-in shortcut list will appears which includes Turn on Silent, Turn on Bluetooth, Turn on IR, Post Note, Status, and *Lock Keys. Also note in any menu you can use the number pad to select the menu item (one for the first item, 2 for the second item, etc.) So all you need to do to toggle bluetooth on/off very quickly is push right soft key (more) and the number 2. It doesn't get much easier than that.

I can't believe ATTWS would kill this critical time saving feature to create a link to mMode.
