Can't get any keytone sounds

The keys on my V710 are silent when I press them - that is, they make no sound to confirm the key stroke. I am aware of the "Keytone Volume" setting that is accessed by going to menu-settings-ring styles-detail. Even when I set the Keytone Volume to the highest setting, there's no sound when I press the keys unless I have the internal speakerphone turned on. Aren't the keys supposed to make sounds even when the speakerphone is off? If so, is there another setting that I'm missing, or do I have a defective phone?

Are you using Bluetooth? If your Bluetooth headset is activated, you won't hear any sounds from the phone. If not, your phone could be defective. The sounds aren't very loud, but they're definitely there. 😎

No. Although I have bluetooth turned on so that the phone will find my car's bluetooth hands-free kit whenever I get into my car, the silent key strokes I'm talking about are when I'm away from my car with no bluetooth connection. I can hear very faint keystroke sounds coming from the earpiece of the phone, but there are no other keystroke sounds coming from the phone.

Speaking of my car's hands-free bluetooth kit, I'm having a probably with that too, and I'm not sure whether its the phone of the car kit. I'm going to post that problem now in a different thread so that it has an appropriate title.

Agree, but that's how the V710 is. Regardless of keypad volume setting, it is very low. The only way I found to hear it louder is to turn on the speakerphone before dialing.

Also ive had ity where my keypad volume goes completely away (even on speakerphone) though usually paired with this my background disappears as well.... to remedy the problem all i have done is reboot the phone and everything then proceeds to work fine again... so go ahead and give that a try. if it doesnt work id suggest a cold boot

Okay, no problem as long as I know that's normal for this phone. Thanks for the info.
