I have been using screen protectors and they work great. I cut about 1/16th of an inch off the bottom and apply it. I can't tell that it's there at all.

Does anyone out there actually have a V710 that they've used for a few days that does not have the key-impact marks on the screen? blockquote>
Keep it in the leather case and you don't get the scratches. (yea I know, I learned that one too late too) I think the scratching on the screen was a known problem because it got fixed along with the crooked cameras.

i bought my phone yesterday and so far there are no scratches on the screen. when do they generally show up?
At the very least buy some PDA screen protectors and cut them down to fit your screen. I spent the 20$ for the leather (lambskin) case and that protects both just fine. If I find a better case more to my liking in the future as more are designed, then I'll look at the 24$ as insurance.
Complaints on the screen scratches showed up within 2 days after this phone first became avalable at Radio Shack in late July/early August (whenever it was)
