hmmmm

not sure if it matters but the ones that I've been uploading to my phone via email started out as .mp3 and then I just rename to .mid which really only changes the extension. Its not like it was converted to .mid.

Any chance you are on a Mac? I haven't been able to send to my phone any files from my Mac.

I'm curious if, perhaps, you have a program that is automatically zipping your file. I know that from experience. 🤭 When I unchecked (in Outlook) the Add-In: QuickViewPlus Outlook AutoZip Extension, the mid file was no longer dropped. I read the text file for clues. When I looked at the Sent Files, the attachment had a .zip extension.

I do not think it is autozipping the file, i went into my sent files and I can open and play the file. that file nor the one sent to the phone had an extention of .zip, its whatever I send. (.mid .midi .mp3)

I also tried sending it from hotmail, and that was just rejected, I am not seeing any issues while sending through outlook.

I can get the files but am just anable to open or save it on the phone.

I had the same problem when E-Mailing from work via Lotus Notes, BUT I tried Hotmail and it worked fine. You receive the E-Mail and when you move the cursor over the file you get a play option then you hit the Menu key and have an option to "Store Only" or "Store and apply as ringtone" - works great!

Just a thought here, but some e-mail clients send their messages automatically in html, rich text or plain text. This sometime affects how the attachments are packet into the message and thus how they are put into packets and sent......if the phone doesn't recognize, let's say, an html packet and in turn the protocol to put the packets of data back together correctly, the phone might see the file as corrupted and thus not recognize the format.......I would try changing the format on the e-mail client you are using and see if one of them works......

Again, this is just a thought....

How do you get the ringtones.mid from vzwpix.com to my phone???

All it does is send me a text message that I have a file at vzwpix.com. What am I doing wrong? 🙄

There should be one more file right below the txt. message. Scroll down using the arrow keys. That should be the ringtone. Follow the directions to store.
If you aren't receiving that "play" ringtone, then perhaps the phone does not recognize that particular ringtone.

That is the problem, I think. There is no file below the text message. I have tried many different ring tones, all midi and none show up.
