I have never used the leather cases in the past I prefer the holster. In my first day of use I noticed that this phone shows alot of finger prints, so I tried the leather case vzw gave me with the phone as a bonus. (I'm glad I didn't pay for it). After putting it on I thought I dislike the bulkyness of the leather case even more than the finger prints. I tried just about everything to get the "fitted" case off the top part of the phone, short of what I thought was enough pressure to break the phone in two, and ten minutes of aggravation----I CUT IT OFF! So unless you are sure you will like the vzw fitted lambskin case for the motorola v710, DON'T USE IT!

The top part of mine comes on and off, no problem. You did undo the snap holding the upper part to the lower part before trying to remove it, didn't you?

😢 Too bad you destroyed your case. The plastic protective screen sticks to the phone. Another person posted the solution earlier.
Simply slide a "post it note" or a piece of paper folded between the protective plastic screen and phone. The top case will slide off very easily.

It really doesn't bother me that I destroyed it because I didn't like it. It just made me mad. Thanks for the info anyway.

Take a business card and slide it under the plastic screen cover. The suction or static (whatever) is what makes it so difficult. It will slide off VERY easy once you break that seal.

I posted this last night...same topic, better results than using a knife.

Leather case - easy way to take it off if you've had problems

by DuckSoup Yesterday, 9:00 PM

Don't know about others who have the leather case for the phone, but I've found that after it's been on even a short while the top portion is very hard to get off due to the clear plastic sticking to the inside screen (it's a two piece case that snaps together).

Tonight I said I'm going to figure out a somewhat easy way to take it off and found it. All I do is take a regular size Post-It note, fold it in half, slide it between the case and the screen to seperate the two from sticking and it slides off like a charm.
