If this has been asked, I apologize in advance.
If you leave the Setting connection for BlueTooth power on while not using a BlueTooth device, does this "sap" battery power from the phone?

It does increase the draw on the battery.

I usually leave it on; I rarely use an entire battery charge in one day.

Here's a hint: Set up two shortcuts: One to turn on Bluetooth, and another to turn it off.

Are you refering to one of the shortscuts on the phone, if so can you list the instructions on how to set up the Shortcut. Thanx. Great tip by the way.

connection
bluetooth link
setup
power
go to the item you want for the shortcut (on or off)
press and hold the menu button for a few s...

Or, you can leave the BT setting to off, when you turn on your headset the 710 asks you if you would like to temp. turn on the BT. When you term. the call, BT is automatically turned back off until you activate you headset again (the headset can remain in stanby and will contact the phone when you try to answer w/the headset)
