V710 being released tomorrow 8/7/04
Just got back from my local Verizon Retail Store. Spoke with my friend who is the Mgr. He let me play around with the phone for an hour - it is AWESOME!! I have NO clue as to the negative postings or reviews - guess that's what makes the world go 'round.
Anyway they already recieved 10 this week and will probably recieve some more in tomorrow mornings shipment. It goes on sale tomorrow upon the store opening!

BTW, tomorrow is the 6th not the seven. can you verify this? the earliest i heard was the ninth on Monday and that was for VZW online.

I just spent an annoying half an hour calling every VZW store in NJ. Unless I was being lied to, the phone is NOT being sold tomorrow! I was told anywhere from, "next week, to "2 weeks", to "Ummmmmm, what phone?".
It seems that everyone will just have to chill out. Have a glass of wine, watch the West Wing re-runs, read the paper... Smell the roses....

Where in NJ are you? I am in the Mercer County area, which is also close to some "Philadelphia" Stores. I am now getting confirmation from the few I have called, acknowledging the phone and also that the "TENTATIVE" date is Aug. 11. They are always clear to let me know that this is the lastest information, and that it can change.
VZW Online did confirm to me that they will have the phone for sell by Monday. But this is after the woman was just as frustrated as I was because I made her aware of the Motorola email sent out yesterday afternoon. It takes about 2 days to get a phone from online, so I am figuring if they are timing it to coincide with an Aug. 11th delivery which is when we will most likely get the phones at the VZW store.
