I know i was probably the biggest advocate of the D2U radioshack plan. I know a bunch of people got burned. At the time my info said it should work. RS really screwed us all. Me included (lost a sale). So here is so relatively new info.
As of tonight the store in Warwick NY had 2 in transit.
Memo siad that the phones will be in stores on or before Aug 3rd (expect in house date for the flyer).
I will continue to look at the regional inventory until i see a more phones showing up.
I am in Region 14 (Northeast) so if other RS' employees could check there region tomarrow that would be great.

Still none in stock for the detroit region on the region view. I didn't expect so see any, since our shipments always seem to come on fridays. I don't expect to see them in the region view until saturday.

They are calling the stores on the day of delivery they are not showing up in regional view yet, and not all stores are receiving them. There is a master list to whom is going to get the phone. But the phone is awsome I really like it. We are still trying to find out if it is a tri-mode. Verizon will say yes if you call them. But the box and book say it is only a dual mode phone. 😕

does it say dual mode or dual band?
dual band would be analog/digital
tri mode would be amps 800/cdma 800/cdma 1900
so a tri mode phone is a dual band/tri mode phone, while a phone like the vx6000 or a670 is a dual mode phone

I work for a store in Dunkirk NY (near Buffalo). We recieved 2 of them today, but only have 1 right now cuz I bought it right off the truck!! Must say I love this phone, I called VZW to do an ESN swap (yes, I paid 470 for it after discount) and they never heard of it, thought it was an old phone, HAH!. Don't know about our district (353) bud I'd assume that there are a bunch out there. Good luck on everyone selling it, as 319 on a 2 year is a good chunk of change. Oh yea, just to let you know, when I rang mine out, it didn't pop up the screen for the warranty or the MIR, may need to have people come back for them.

I checked my region today, but it wouldn't show me the in-transit. I called several stores and the higher volume stores were receiving two a piece. I am going to pick my phone up tomorrow, seeing thats when our district receives our shipments. I am in the nw region. Portland area.

i'm in the same region. Check out your local stores, we got ours today cuz we get FedEx shipments on Wednesdays.

They come Fed Ex too, but they all come on Thursday for us, the same day as our regualar shipment.

Mall stores tend to be included as well as stores that have high foot traffic.

Well, one easy way is if you have any concept stores around your area. They're the ones with the cash registers in the center of the store. Chances are they'll be getting some, along with mall stores, as said above me.
