Can You Do Voice and Data At Same Time?

RoadTrip

The search tool on this site leaves much to be desired, so here is the question. Assume I am using Bluetooth to connect to my Pocket PC or Laptop and have a data session going. Can I still receive voice calls on the handset. Really, really cool would be for both to be supported at the same time via Bluetooth....

Much as I too wish this were possible, it isn't. However, the bandwidth of Verizon's data plan could conceivably allow one to use a VoIP connection for outgoing voice calls while still doing the browsing/e-mail/etc thing. When they transition over to 3G (and eventually beyond that...drool), this will become much more realistic. The only caveat I could imagine here is whether or not Verizon prohibits VoIP connections on the data plans they offer. I have a question on this as well. I used to use my T720 with the data usb cable to connect my laptop to the VZW Quick 2 connect or something which gave me about 14.4kbps. This absolutely sucked, but when I was in a pinch it was ok.

I understand they have much higher bandwidth plans for like $79.99 as month, but that is way too much money for the occassional download of email or web browsing when in the airport.

What other options will this phone give us? I guess you'll be able to do Quick 2 connect with no wires which will be nice, but will you also be able to connect to a higher speed connection included in the basic voice plans? Anyone know?

Thanks for your help...
