Settlement upgrade and contract questions

Suppose you have a receipt for a $320 V710 and got a $70 rebate and you got the phone 20 months ago. If you take the V710 upgrade, do you get a $320 or $250 credit? More important, do you have the ability to get the new phone with your credit and get a NE2 credit 4 months later for another phone or do you activate another 2 year contract immediately? If so, you are getting screwed out of a $100 credit as part of the upgrade settlement.

I was wondering the same thing about the rebate. Although there is nothing on your reciept about the rebate being paid to you so I would think that dosen't come into play. As far as the start of the a new contract once you get a new phone, I hope the lawers working for us are smart enough not to fall for that scam, which I'm sure Verizon would love to pull. I would hope the same for the new every two credit. I would also bet that VZW would love to drag their feet long enough for most of us to go get a new phone under the "new every two" offer rather then through this class action.

Your mail in rebate does not count against you. You get your $320. You DO lose your NE2. Basically you are having your Verizon contract terminated and are then starting over as a brand new customer, which resets your NE2. This comes directly from Bill Weinstein, one of the lawsuit lawyers. I got this info over at Howard Forums.
