Motorola 710 launch

Verizon doesn't tell any rep when the launch dates are, however inside VZWs' intranet the V710 motorola is on one of the pages that has the new equipment that is going to arrive soon. With that being said it's normally 3-4 weeks before it's launches publicly. There's no info about the 810, so that one is probably not even coming out, and the LG7000 is coming out now in a week

This is false information. I am a customer service rep. at a vzw call center in MD and I look at that INTRANET site everyday at all times. The only phone that is down as: COMING SOON, is the Lg-vx7000. The V710 is not on there yet. Please stop making us look like we are hiding info. from our customers. This is a really good question. I will be honest with all of you because you all seem to be misled. When a phone that has many new features and it has a pretty penny attached to it, thise phones will be available to our business customers first. For example, the samsung a790 (global phone) was first available to our business customers first and then about a 2 months or later it would be available for our none business customers. This means that the V710 could be available to our business customers first and then to us. Hope this helps

I wonder if that means my rep (from the business division) can get me a phone, then.

How p*ssed off do you think Motorola will be regarding their giveaway? -- I bet they didn't think that the only people who would be eligible for this would be business customers. I bet they thought it would be consumers drawn to the video features.

This is just a question. If the Motorola 710 is going available only just to business customers first like the samsung 790 for overseas travels: then why is it only a tri-mode phone?

The Icon is back and here is some notes....

The reasoning behind giving the option for business customers to buy the 790 first, is because Verizon believes that those customers will benefit most from that option, also it gives them more time to figure out a pricing plan for international travel between Vodaphone and VZW for consumers. The V710 will be a basic consumer phone. Most phones will show up on the intranet or infocenter at least a week before they are added to the line-up.

Software flashes will sometimes improve the signal capability of the phone, allowing the phone a more efficient way to use the signal it is receiving, however SPY is correct normally it has nothing to do with it.

Also for further notes recently Radio...

Where did u hear that the 8900 was disco'ed at RS? The price still ends in x.99 (something is disco'ed at the Shack when it is x.97). I will look into this but i dont think its true... Then again i am just a lowly sales associate.

Audiovox is a distributer, not a manufacturer. Any Audiovox phone in the 8xxx series is made by Curitel, which is the name Hyundai is hiding behind. If I was given a Hyundai phone for free, I would throw it away as I would rather use two cans with a string between them than a Hyundai phone. Any Audiovox distributed phone in the 9xxx series is made by Toshiba. I have used a CDM9500 for almost two years now and it is one of the best phones I have ever had. I hope the V710 is as good in it's TX/RX capabilities. If the damn thing is ever released. 😕

WRONG. The V710 is not targeted at business (and if you really knew anything you would know that all cell providors call their business customers Enterprise Customers, not business customers) so Sparky once again you are starting false rumors

badsky2k:

FYI!!!!!!!!!!! If I would of mentioned the word "ENTERPRISE CUSTOMERS" probably no one here would of had a clue what that means. Therefore, I said BUSINESS CUSTOMERS. On the othere hand, READ my lines "This phone MIGHT be out for our business customers first" That sentence does not states that it WILL! I check the intranet here at work and when there is a phone on the "coming soon" section, it is about 1-2 weeks away from release. This again, is on the customer service side. I know this b...

Before you start accusing people of false information theres' alot more to our intranet than just the customer service side. When you go back to work, try checking the WDTS intranet under "phones" in the upper right hand corner. You'll also notice a kyocera mx200 there too. I agree with npitlor. This is intersting. ...

Hey SPY050. I work Res Q on the CS side. If you go into VZW's intra-net and use the WDTSs' intranet you'll see the V710 (coming soon) there. He's acknowledging I have knowledge,... of the time". Nobody said anything about working at the WDTS, only to use there site.
