As an MP3 player?

Am I dumb? I bought a Transflash card for my phone today so it could be an MP3 player. I popped it into my phone, and the phone doesn't appear to know it is there. I tried to follow Motorola's instructions to format the card, and the menu options they mention don't exist on my phone. Do I need to get software, adapters, all that junk, or should I be able to load MP3's on the card with my laptop, pop the card in the phone, and go? Why does this all seem so difficult? Please, if anyone can, give me step by step instructions for my dumb brain to follow. 🙂

It's quite simple really... if you've done it once or twice;)

Don't feel so upset that it seems complicated. I remember when I first got my phone trying to figure out the mp3 took me a little bit. Here is how you do it.

1) Pop your Transflash (mini-sd) card into your phone and format as Motorola instructs.
2) Put the card into your computer and copy mp3s into the \motorola\shared\ringtone folder
2*) Not quite sure if it needs to be in that particular folder, but that is where I keep mine and no problems thus far.
3) Make sure the filenames arn't super long.. like maybe 10 characters ...
