VZW is basically giving away all thier motorolas for 30-40 bucks. I would have to assume they are just trying to get rid of surplus inventory to make room for new Motorolas rolling out. So let's keep our fingers crossed

Spoke with a rep from vzw last week and he said that motorola had stopped all phones so they WERE getting rid of surplus and they usually get new phones about 2-4 weeks after this happens

As far as the release date goes, a lot of us are speculating that this will be released by June because of the following offer related to the V710 from Motorola which expires on July 10th.

If you're one of the first 710 people to register their V710, you get a free Motorola Bluetooth accessory.

Actually, their offer reads:

"Offer expires July 10, 2004 or while the first 710 offer packages last."

Thus it could mean later than July 10, though I'm hoping not.

Question is, what are our chances of actually being one of the first 710 buyers/registrants? Does that cover the first day or the first hour of availability?
