I just purchased a V710 (newest software verizon 8700_01.04.OR)this weekend to use with my new 05 Acura TL handfree system. Everything is working great and was easy to set up. I also have an Acura TL (albeit a 2004). I have not experienced the problem you're having. My V 710 works fine with the Acura's handsfree system.
I assume that under: Menu, settings, connection you have the BlueTooth icon enabled - select the BlueTooth icon - then slect SetUp. Enable Power ON. And under car settings the auto answer is Off, Auto Hansfree is on?

That's the way my phone is set. Works fine on all calls when synchronized with the car.

Hope your able to find and answer. 😎
