Yes and No, unless they changed what they were doing in the TL.

The .OR release solves all the issues that exist with respect to communicating with the car. Battery and signal strength are now passed from the phone to the car.

The Acura TL's "phonebook" isn't really a phonebook. All it can do is match a recorded voice file to a 10 digit phone number and send it to the phone as an outbound call.

Sorry, I have not seen any posts specifically about the RL.

I just bought a V710 this weekend to use with my new 05 Acura TL. Everything works great except for the first call I make from the handset each time I get into the car. When I hit send, the music pauses for about a sec, I see "hands free link" on the display then the music is back. The call is only connected on the handset. I don't have this problem with calls made from the handset after the first. Seems like maybe a software bug still (I have the newest 01.40OR). The radio is displaying the signal strength so it knows the phone is there. This issue doesn't happen if my first call is incoming or placed from the call directly. Thanks.

The V710 worked fine from the first day with my Acura TL. I understand that the RL has the same phone comatiblity as the TL.
So I don't see why not.
You can always ask the sales person to test it in your RL.

The address book will not transfer is the only reported problem with the new software:
