I bought a converter so I can plug my head phones to my phone(normal head doesnt work) and now it just sounds horrible.

Is this the best it does? or did I buy a wrong converter?

I wanted this phone for the mp3s... now i'm really tempted to bring it back ;(

any suggestions.

Underdog, disregard anything that litobirdy says. He is a CHILD. A complete IDIOT!! A complete A__HOLE!!! He has been quiet on this site for a while but we were all hoping that he would just FLY AWAY. Don't listen to ANYTHING that he says. I have the v710 and I love it. It's the best phone I've ever had. I got mp3's over to my phone via TF card and my phone plays fine. If I knew what you did I might be able to help you. Get back to me in more detail and let me know if you are using a TF card and also let me know if you formated it.

Underdog.. dont listen to a word sportsnut says. He is a super child and a super ahole... i mean look at his name. Sportsnut HAHAH. we were hoping he'd leave and just watch sports and scratch his n*ts.. but he keeps coming back... he doesnt know jack about this phone.. You have to get one of those headsets with a mic for talking. i have one of those and its the best.. but remember this phone is not a radio.. get it because its a phone. dammit

Underdog just read some of the threads about litobirdy especially the one that asks about who hates him. I'm a professional person, an engineer by trade and I do know a considerable amount of info about the v710. I don't hate litobirdy but he is just an absolute child that shouldn't be on this site. Look at some of the responses from other people every time he makes a comment. Also look at as many responses as you can from him and make your own decision. I'll try to respond back to you but only if the child litobirdy lets honest professional people try to help others.

We got a converter from PC-mobile.net in Hong Kong. It's the 3.5mm Audio Adapter for the MPx200. The adapter costs $6.50 (+ $5 shipping) and they take Paypal.

Earlier, we bought an adapter from Radio Shack but the shaft is too long; you have to adjust how much you stick it in or it won't play both channels. The PC-mobile.net one fits perfectly, & my daughter says it works and sounds great.

Hey! Underdog

If you haven't already, looking into the Motorola HS120 One Touch Stereo Headset which is available for $25 retail.

Info from the Motorola website:
Listen to your favorite MP3 in stereo! Experience improved sound clarity - even in noisy environments - with the acoustically tuned speaker. And don't worry about getting caught up in the music; the headset automatically mutes for an incoming call and resumes playing when the call has ended. Send/End key on headset allows users to place, receive and end calls without touching the phone. Etc, etc.
