I just purchased a v710 today. Is there anyway to identify if this phone was manufactured after the recent recall, or before? Does the UPC code, or any other number(s) on the phone, show this?

The new phone has several improvements: The camera of course is not tilted, the 2 plastic bumpers that keep the screen from contacting the keyboard are much higher, the keyboard feel is much better, with much less force required to actuate the keys. The screen colors seem more saturated than my old one at the same settings. I didn't have a volume problem before, the volume on this one is fine. The Verizon boot up screen now says: Verizon aGPS. The bad news is that my USB data cable still has an intermittent connection to this phone. I don't think the cable is bad, so I might need yet another phone.
