Motorola V710
Superdave 1.02 ... Still no iSync?
It was my understanding that that means OBEX is enabled and therefore iSync should work just fine. Not only does iSync not work, but I still cannot send a file to the phone.
Am I wrong about this SD firmware? Did I receive the wrong version of the Superdave fw?
p.s. also the camera doesn't seem all that much better.

Well, hope so, but from what I found the other night on Motorola's web site, it wasn't designed for OBEX. So if not designed for OBEX, will a hack enable OBEX?
*sigh*
You can't "design" for OBEX.

well, and not to be dumb about it...but what is the necessity of OBEX? If I can transfer the data from my phone to my computers via BT with MPT, what is the point? I know it would be nice...but is it a must? I'm not being a wiseacre, I guess I need to be educated.
If my sister-in-law wants to beam me contacts while I'm visiting her, I need OBEX. If want to transfer stuff between my PDA and the v710, I need OBEX and probably some other stuff too. If there's OBEX, I don't need to buy, nor do I need to pirate, MPT, to transfer stuff. If I'm using a Mac or a Linux box, I need OBEX.
OBEX is the general way to transfer "Things" over infrared and bluetooth. Anybody can code against it and i...

If you are using mobile phone tools make sure you select V710m when setting up the phone.
