Motorola V710
Using the V710 for internet with my Ipaq 4705???
Can we do something against Verizon because they advertised this phone as full Bluetooth and than crippled its features?

Here is how you connect a WM 2003 PocketPC to a Motorola v710... You should be able to adapt the procedure for a non-WM2003 PDA with Bluetooth capabilities:
I have had my 4150 connected for a while now. The biggest mistake people make is that they use a dialing string. The v710 doesn't need it to connect.
Start/settings/connections tab/connections
Add new modem connection
Enter Name: Verizon Wireless (or whatever you want)
Select a modem: Bluetooth Dialup Modem
Enter Phone #: #777
Tap "Use Dialing Rules"
Tap "edit..."
Tap "Dialing patterns"
Remove all but "g" from...

It's not working for me using my Ipaq 3955 and Ambicom Bluetooth CF card. I'm able to get the Ipaq and 710 bonded but can't connect to dial-up.
On the 710 does the flip have to be open to connect? In the 710 do you have to click on "Find Me" to initiate a connection?
When I query the 710 bluetooth services from the Ipaq it only lists Generic Audio (twice) and Headset Audio Gateway, not DUN.
Are there any extra dial-string commands need on the Ipaq?
Dial-up from the PocketPC via bluetooth was the only reason to get the 710, so if I can't get it to work, back the 710 goes, 13 days to go. The guy at my Verizon store said there was another bluetooth phone coming early next year.
