Anyone think this is a hoax?

I have a feeling that this recall is just a way to make sure that we all give our phones back to get the camera problem fixed, and end up with the new firmware incorporated into it that makes it so we can't use the t-flash card to up/dl pics and stuff off of it. It makes perfect sense that verizon would do this. they are losing a lot of potential money and picked a problem that isn't even that bad to get all the phones back and make sure that all the v710s are bringing in the right amount of money. honestly, who noticed that they had a crooked camera before this problem was made public? i sure didn't notice, it seems that if they would do a recall it would be because of other things, like things that all of us complained about? like the main...

I don't think nathanjax would participate in such a betrayal.

This from Motorola -- after a scathing E-mail last week. Keep in mind that just because Motorola is doing this, doesn't mean that Verizon has to provide the fruit of Motorola's labor! This does mean that the code will be available somewhere, someplace.

Part of my original E-mail said:

Your Bluetooth explanation, and the V710 example is the first 'official/documented' explanation of the issues that I am experiencing with my V710. I literally begged Verizon for a solution to allow me to transfer files to/from my phone to no avail. They sent me from tech to tech, and virtually refused to admit that there was a reason for my not being able to transfer files -- until of course, my 15 day trial was up!

The question that I would pose to Mo...

The "Revenue Leak" is nothing new, it has been thrawted with many means before, such as BITPIM, GAGIN, QPST, Brewsky, and etc.

The TF card just made it easier for the common user to transfer content instead of attempting to hack the phone.

VZW needs to allow competitive GIN pricing, and offer a one time purchase for alot more apps, instead of this subscription BS.

Here is the truth, I think VZW should stop worrying about this problem, the majority of users would still purchase apps through GIN, if the prices were lower, cause it is built it, and most people are lazy.

Diffrent story for users of this site, who come seeking information, instead of taking what is fed to them.

I noticed it the first week when I was testing the zoom using a window as the focus. When everything you are looking at is plumb and level, it is very obvious. I just wasn't that concerned about it.

Doing a recall on the phone is quite a costly operation for Motorola as the phones won't be able to be sold as new thus I doubt this would happen unless it was justified. I believe it is justified and think they need to fix the lens as well as the tilt. Pictures are crap and please dont give me the arguement that if you want a camera buy one, I've heard that before, I dont agree but I dont feel like turning this thread into an arguement on that.
