This morning I went to upgrade to a v710. I went to Verizonwireless.com.

The web site shows that the phone is sold out. No matter I tried to order it anyway thinking that Verizon would accept a preorder on a backorded item. Instead on the second to last page before completing the order I get a message that says that this order cannot be completed due to the fact that this phone is out of stock and that Verizon did not know when it would be available for ordering.

No problem. A quick call to Verizon customer service and I might get an answer as to when it will be available.

The service rep was very nice did not transfer me, but did have to put me on hold. Her supervisor came back on in her place and asked me if I was a current owner ...

Thats funny. It said on my invoice while placing my order that I would pay $199.00 - $49.00 Web special. That equils $149.99. Then when you place a upgrade New every 2 order. It clearly shows the $100.00 credit. Bringing the cost to $49.99.

As I said in my first post. I did try to order this phone. I am looking at the invoce now. It clearly shows that if the order had been accepted my credit card would have been charged $49.99.

Fianly, last night at the mall I picked up the rebate form for the $70.00.

This kind of rebate, putting money in the buyers pocket, is not unuseal. On Amazon.com T-mobile and amazon.com have serval phones and PDA's that work out to be free and put money in the buyers pocket.

Once again. I am starring at an invoice that clearly says balance due. $49.99. Below that in red it does say clearly a message about the phone not being in stock.

So thats a point that we are just going to have to agree to disagree.

Forget the pricing for a minute. Sense you work for VZW what additional information can you give to mine and other post about this phones availability?

Has the phone been dropped by Verizon. Is in a wait and see if something can be fixed by Motorola? Or is it just out of stock because of the high sales and level of return?

If you do a search, I have already posted the emails about the phone issue. They are no longer in stock until the 29th when the new, corrected lens phone will come out. Until they come out, they will not sell any that they have now.

I work in customer service for VZW so yes I know for sure that VZW will never pay someone to take a phone.

From what I read about the V710, sounds like they SHOULD!!!
