OK HERE IT IS ABOUT THE "RECALL"

Verizon Wireless has identified an issue with a limited number of Motorola V710 cameras that are not mounted to specifications. This can result in a photo where the object appears noticeably crooked or tilted. This issue does not affect all V710s.
A resolution is under development and will be communicated shortly. Until then, stores are to screen all V710 inventory.
Incremental V710 FRU with good cameras is expected into the Distribution Centers the week of 10/29/04. The boxes will have a “Blue Avery Dot” to indicate a good camera

2. Align camera with a straight object in the store such as a door frame
3. Take photo

Does this mean those of us who already bought the phone 2 months ago and have a crooked camera, can turn it in for a straightened one, or will we have to get our existing one fixed?

you'd get a replacement. I checked my camera, it is messed up. I never moticed it, but everything is slped downward from left to right.

Yup mine is crooked too, never noticed it either. I don't even care about that factor but maybe the new phones will take better pictures. The pictures on the V710 are the worst ive ever seen from a camera phone.

the crooked camera has been an issue since day one. some dude even tore apart his phone to prove it. do a search on "reason for the twisted camera" and following the link on the original post. very shocking 😳 and interesting 😲
