Motorola V710
TF card files incomplete. helppppp
Got a 128mb tf from best buy $34.99 and card reader from officemax free after rebate. Formatted card and No probs with computer transfering .mids .jpegs .wavs etc. when I try to use files in 710 they are not complete. eg only a couple of kb. this includes pics and audio. what me doing wrong! PS when I view files on computer of tf they work fine.

Make sure you're actually copying them and not just creating shortcuts... also format the card in the PHONE not the PC...

Sponge, I formatted TF in phone, and used the drag and drop method in windows explorer to copy files. I'm putting files in moto/shared/ringtones or /pics. is this correct?

ok, drag and drop is ok, but only if you drag and drop using the right mouse button instead of the left... when prompted select copy here. 🙂 dragging with the left creates shortcuts, depending on your windows version etc... use the right mouse button...

Thanks sponge , thats what I have been doing. I just checked the files in 710 and now they ARE working 😁 . Does it take a while to transfer, and should I shut off phone before inserting TF. TIA
