Alright... those that have tried several different kinds... which is the best?

I have read the reviews on here and they seem mixed. Some 810 some 820. I thought the Jabra 250 was reviewed better than both, but I haven't personally tried it. Can anyone provide input?

I've tried four headsets to date: the Moto 810 and 820, the Bluetrek G2, Jabra 250 and the Sony-Ericcson HBH-600. They all have their plusses and minuses, depending on sound quality, operability and comfort. The G2 is a very light, badass design, but the ear loop is too flimsy for my tastes - it always felt like it was going to fall off. The HBH-600 is a very sturdy design with great sound, but quite heavy (compared to the others) and the hard plastic piece that rests in the ear got to be quite uncomfortable after just 15 minutes of wear. The Jabra 250 has nice sound quality, but man, it's just to big. I really liked the 810, particularly the open-close boom mike that connects and disconnects the headset with the phone. So, in the end my str...

I agree about the 820. I really like it alot. Had the 810 at work to check out but I'm not crazy about the boom folding outwards.

Would have liked it to fold up/down so you could leave it on and shut your call off.

They really gotta get the phone to ring with the headset enabled or it is just not really a functional solution. Nobody's gonna wear it 24/7.

If VZW doesn't address this, I'll probably try to return the phone, even though I'm well past 2 weeks.

I think the beauty of the 810 is that you can have the phone ring, pick up the earpiece, open it, and connect to the call. Also, if you close it between calls, the standby time greatly increases due to the headset not keeping the blu...

Agreed. We felt we were fumbling around too much trying to get it hooked on our ears after we opened the boom. we found the 820 somewhat easier to put on.

I'm really thinking of it's use while driving in a car regarding the above. Maybe we needed to just work with it a bit more?

The 66466 was very easy to slip on, I need to look at a HS810, but maybe after two years, I have forgotten how it was in the beginning. Do you move the earloop out a little with your index finger before trying to put it on your ear? I just played with it a little and that's what I do. Then I push the body of the device toward my ear to make it snug.

Good luck, and enjoy the Bluetooth. It is so much improved from the BT that was in the 270c, you will miss it if you return it.

I didn't spend enough time with it but that might have been a good solution. You're right, the BT is great and works well, I just need the phone to ring with my HS820.

Can you turn the 820 off and on easily? (Is there a button that turns it on kinda like the 810 fold out boom?)

the multifunction button turns it on/off and also dialup/ drop call. You need to hold it for about 3 secs to power on/off.

You can miss some calls because of the time it takes to connect.

Has anyone tried the new Plantronics M2500? It is available for $44 (or was at least last wek). It looks nice and Plantronics seem to have a good rep.

I have not yet tried a BT headset. I have been folowing the threads and thinking about it. Right now, I am waiting to see what someone has to say after trying the M2500.

I read in a HoFo post that once you have paired, you can click a headset to the charge setting and that permits the phone to ring. When a call comes in, you simply click it back to the on position. Not having ever tried any of these, I cannot verify this - only quote it.

If anyone has tried the m2500, I would really appreciate hearing about it. Confirmation or refutation about the charge setting would be great ...
