I know alot of you probably have had a chance to play with the actual phone a little. I was lucky yesterday and a friend of mine at Verizon pulled the phone from the back. He made me go kind of to the side to look at it though. The phone is sweet. The only thing that it lacks is a speaker phone (for those who that feature is important to) functioning video messaging. I don't know what the point is in being able to video for 2 12 seconds videos each unless you can send them. The screen is most impressive it's very bright and clear like the 610. The sub LCD is in color as we all know. The tech showed me the caller ID photo the cool thing was it was on the sub LCD. The phone is also dark charcoal like the 610. Boxters2:

I too held one. I played with it for about 10 minutes last Monday, in Cincinnati. I ended up buying the LG VX4500, but I am returning it on Tuesday, so I can buy the A670.

I had a great experience with the A670. The strangest thing about the phone was the way it felt in my hand. The materials used were higher than in other Samsung phones, and it felt nice to touch. I was impressed with the LED flash and the new menu (similar to the A610).

Has anyone else had the chance to see the A670? Do you guys think it will be the "VX6000" of 2004? Tell me what you think...

The outside display goes dim too quickly, but you can hold the volume key (on the side) down for a few seconds and it relights.

One other thing that I would change - when scrolling through the main pages - messages, tools, settings, etc. - you can only see three titles at a time. The top two thirds of the screen shows the wallpaper. Many other models will fit more on the screen. Perhaps you'll have to try it to see what I mean. Maybe that's nitpicking.

One other thing - the inside screen is fantastic. Very clear and easy to use.

I am dangerously close to upgrading to this phone...but I reall...

Well, 670 vs 7000 really comes down to size. The 670 is WAY smaller and probably better built as that has been my experience between these two companies.
