Reception Problems

To All,

I live in the Chicago Metro area and have Verizon Wireless. My previous phones were Nokias and they worked great and very few times were calls dropped. There was always good signal strength. I just got a new VX-4600 phone in July and the phone goes in and out of reception (Signal strength) faster than you can speed dial out a call. Are there others out there with the same problem. I know its not the Verizon Wireless service, because the Nokias worked great. I have the phone set to beep when it is or out of the service area and sometimes beeps like its a pager and I am traveling in the same locations as I did with the Nokias.

Well, it is an all-digital phone. Although, mine has the best digital reception of any other phone I ever had. Usually 4-5 bars where I only had 2 bars with other phones. Have you tried the *228 option 2 update? I think that should help quite a bit.

Yes I have tried *228 option 2 update at least once a month per Verizon instruction. I wish the reception was better. The phone is great and easy to use. I love it, except for its reception and LG has yet to respond to my e-mails to there service department about the reception problems and possible solutions.
