FM Radio??

Oct 7, 2009, 7:46 PM
On Phone Scoop description it says the Imagio has an FM radio. However at Verizon site it makes no mention of this. Does it or doesnt it have FM radio???

yes it does. you need to plud a head set in like on the ipod nano for it to work. i havent tried it yet but it is there

Great. It is a 3.5 jack isn't it?

Oh Snap, does that mean radio won't work with BT headset? Is the 'radio antennae' in the 3.5mm headset jack?

so far, that is how they have all been. I don't think I can listen to the radio with BT on my Omnia.

Would this work?

Take an old set of ear buds and snip the cord so that it only includes the jack and about 12" of wire. Plug it in. Turn on the Bluetooth headphones.

I suspect the wire will act as an antenna and the jack being inserted will keep the FM app happy. I don't think this will inhibit the BT connection from operating.

That is exactly what I was thinking about doing, I'll have to find a headset that isn't working and give that a try....I'll report back what I find here Cool

I haven't tried the exact fix that I proposed, but I have used headphones to listen to Windows Media while at the same time using BT to answer calls.

It works, so BT and headphones are not entirely mutually exclusive.

I don't have this phone but can tell you that on others I have the BT connection drops once I plug in wired headsets. My guess is you're going to find the same thing with the Imagio. I would be very surprised if that were not the case.
