HTC Imagio

I have the basic data package with my Imagio and did some quick searches on tethering it to my laptop and found nothing. Any one doing this? I have a friend with the storm and he is using i guess this app or software. I haven't yet talked to him.
BTW. I love this phone.

Any idea if HTC has any plans on a credit card reader for their phones? Thanks....going to do some searching and let u know what if anything find.

I think I like nearly everything I've seen and read about the Imagio; can anyone confirm that the unlocked versions are 'BI'; enabled to operate in CDMA and GSM?

I want to buy an unlocked unit to use on my ATT account, but if I later want to try out a Tmobile acct to ditch ATT, or even go to Verizon, will it be capable of operating between the 2 networks?

I like the form factor, large display, gps and FM radio... and that it's not an iPhone!

this will be my first WinMo phone, and i was wondering about music playability on it, specifically if itunes was an available app. i searched for this already of course, but did not come up with anything for WinMo 6.5, although i did see it available for previous versions so i assume they would offer it.

if not what options are available for music, or is there a native solution?

what i particularly like about itunes is that i can add WAV files with metadata, either by ripping a cd with itunes, and it takes the info from whatever music database they use and adds it to the itunes library database, or you can add it manually. and, all this of course syncs up with my ipod perfectly, but i am fearing that anything other ...

I went ahead with the imagio and so far its a pretty sweet phone. I have ran into a few issues with it though and was wondering if anyone else is having the same problems and might know of a solution.

My inbox always says I have 1 new text message on the touchflo screen. I go into my inbox and there aren't any new messages. I even went through and deleted all my text messages thinking maybe that would fix it, but it didn't. I was thinking about doing a hard reset and just restore everything back to how it was right out of the box... if someone might be able to help me with how to do this.

Also, I keep getting a error message about audiomanager.exe or something like that, and it keeps wanting me to send an error report to microsoft, in...

looking at the other forums.. I had theis phone for a week and retuned it .. lookin into this site for this app curious if it can be used on this phone. Love the style just didnt like the cumbersome way of moving around. Any idea if it will work.

The main screen has the weather for "My Location." This never matches the weather for Montgomery, AL. The time is correct, though.

I have Verizon and have turned location services on in both places I can find to do so. I would think this would permit the weather application to detect my location, Montgomery, and correctly report that location's weather.

It's no big deal, but I wonder what will happen when I start traveling with the phone. When I am in NYC, will it give me the weather for Anchorage?

Anyway, is there a way to find out where my phone thinks "My Location" is?

Just wondering if anyone has opinion on which is the better phone. Getting ready to upgrade and want my first smart phone. Maybe be better to waiton HTC HD?

Just wondering how well they do and if you have had any issues. I don't want to pay Verizon's recuring fee for VZ navigator.

On Phone Scoop description it says the Imagio has an FM radio. However at Verizon site it makes no mention of this. Does it or doesnt it have FM radio???

Can i assume that this phone will be easy to setup syncing with desktop MS apps, specifically Outlook, or will be pre-configured to do so?

one of the hesitations for me, for waiting until Android phones is if they will sync with outlook, or just google products, i do use a gmail imap account, but everything else is outlook. does anyone know about this.

I made the mistake of setting IE a sthe default browser. Now I cannot set Opera as the default.

Any suggestions on how to make Opera the default so when I use the tab, I get Opera?

I've read many negative articles on this OS, and wondered if anyone using it could comment. many of the articles just seemed like MS bashing, and I did read several positive articles on the phone in general, so would like some user opinions before i buy it.

I was considering if i should wait for one of the Android phones to come out, as from what i've read they will ship with a better processor, and also open GL support, not sure if i can wait that long though.

The specs look very similar. Just curious.

I use Letter Recognizer and had a great deal of trouble figuring out the complictated series of settings to get word completion to work. I don't do a lot of texting, but I take a lot of notes using Word. Is Word Completion when using Letter Recognizer available on 6.5?

Does the Imagio have a Suretype Keypad available in portrait mode?

Some sites show this has a stylus and some show it has GPS. Verizon doesnt make note of either, so not sure if its crippled or missing.

Anyone know for sure?

If it has GPS, is it compatible with 3rd party apps?

Not sure why Verizon is hiding most of these phones... but they all certainly seem to be very viable options. Still which they were even thinner. Anyone know how these compare to each other?
