2. I had this issue with some friends of mine. I just used my friends full name for one (anthony in your case) and then put Tony as the nickname

3. The alarm should be a big popup window when it goes off. If yours isn't I would check to see if he installed some other form of clock.

-I use Beautiful Widgets ($2 and some change). It gives you a really nice, big, homescreen clock that also gives you the weather. This actually gives you a solution to number 3. In the morning, hit the clock portion of the widget and it takes you right into the alarm.

-Angry Birds (Lite). A good time wasting game that looks great on the screen. Highly addictive.

-MixZing. Best music player out there. Has a "mood player" which will create custom playlists for you with your songs.

-If you want more/less homescreens, ADW is an excellent launcher. This will allow you to customize the look of your phone.

-Vlingo. This was a great app when I paid $20 for it, and now it's free. I still think this is better than the default search when it comes to voice to text, and the keyboard that comes with it isn't bad at all.

-Wordfued Free. If you like Scrabble, this is scrabble for your phone that you can play other android users either by inviting them via email or getting randomly matched.
