Low Battery Audible Indicator?

Boothie

May 6, 2010, 7:35 AM
Is there any way to get the phone to beep or do something audible when the battery is low? There have been a couple of times now when I get up in the morning and my phone is dead. This is even when it was around 50% full before going to bed. If it beeped or something it would wake me up and I could plug it in. I've searched through the phone but haven't found anything - I could be completely overlooking something.

Thanks!

Out of curiousity, why don't you just plug it in before you go to sleep?

I was doing that, but the Verizon guy said it wasn't good to have it plugged in for 8-9 hours at a time. I'm already charging it while I'm at work as well (it starts to die after a few hours).

Unfortunately, the. Verizon guy is mistaken. This used to be true for older batteries, but not anymore. This battery will cease to charge once full, to avoid overcharging. There is no danger or ill effect in leaving it on the charger, since it will simply stop charging when complete. See wikipedia below for a little more info on lithuim-ion polymer batteries.

That said, the battery life kinda sucks. ☹️
