So I tried Opera...
...cos everyone was saying how fast it is, and it is. But it wont pinch to zoom like it does on my iphone. Any idea why?

Because opera is a rendering browser, not a webkit based one. It's made for speed over anything else, and not every android device has the hardware and/or software to handle pinch/zoom

So even though the droid can do pinch and zoom because its an android based phone it wont work? dang thats too bad

the version of Opera for android most likely doesn't support pinch zoom. If you want that, use the default browser, xscope, or Dolphin. all three support pinch zoom

Mostly, yes. Opera has upload capability though, which is disabled in the default browser. I keep it around just for that.
