My AT&T contract is almost up and im seriously considering the switch to the droid. I love how easy it is to transfer pictures from my iphone to itunes. Is it possible for the droid to link with itunes or is that just for the iphone. If not,how easy is it to tranfer info from the droid. Also, can i load my itunes library to the droid. Thanks droidians.

there are programs that will crack the security on your itunes, but as it stands only phone other then iphone is the blackberries that can do itunes, gotta love apple and making everything proprietary so you are forced to use their stuff with their stuff... but moving info back and forth from the droid is wicked easy!

The Droid will play AAC files just fine, as long as there is no DRM. This means that iTunes Plus songs (which is all they've been selling for some time now) and CDs you rip with iTunes will play just fine on the Droid (works for me). Only the files with the .m4p extension won't play.

As for syncing with iTunes, Motorola does have a media manager that syncs with iTunes, though it only works for PCs. I've never used it, but supposedly you can sync music, playlists, video, and photos from iTunes to the Droid.

I have a question for you since you have been using an Iphone for awhile. Does your Bluetooth work with Voice Commands? In other words can you make a call without touching the phone? That will NOT work with the Droid for some dumb reason and if it is working with the IPhone, then I'm going to dump my Droid as soon as Verizon has the IPhone available later this year. With all my previous Motorola phones, I had no problem with that at all and they integrated into my Car's Bluetooth system. Just touch a button on my steering wheel and use voice commands to make a call. This Droid is such a pain to use for making calls while driving, that I have quit using it at all while driving. I don't want to bother with docks and cables, when I have a p...

Doubletwist will allow you to sync music back and forth (not sure about pictures.. have to check when I get home). The droid will play any Itunes music that is not DRM protected. There are other options out there, but doubletwist is the most itunes like syncing.

Transferring media back and forth between a droid and a computer is as easy as using a flash drive. If you are comfortable with a flash drive, you can transfer stuff on the droid.

and you don't need to be locked to a syncing program (even if you use one on your main PC) so if you want to get/give something to another computer, you can do so.

I just got this phone last week for my mother. I am a blackberry storm2 user and an ipod touch user (ie I am a fan of all the platforms)...BUT I have to say I am VERY impressed with the android OS.

I've used a blackberry for business and personal use for quite sometime now and I was sick and tired of my mom not checking her email or not being able to receive text messages and this phone seemed to be the answer.

Since I set the whole thing up for her...I love the widgets and definitely recommend Beautiful Widgets (best $1.50 I've spent yet) and its very nice how you can customize literally EVERYTHING on the phone all the way from the font which you can DL new ones, to the wallpaper, to adding contacts to one of the homescreens for eas...

Yeah, I'd be curious to hear what someone who had an iphone thinks of the Droid. It seems like a lot of the Droid reviewers are either Apple or Android fanboys who either nitpick or praise (depending which camp you're in) every little thing and don't go into the review with an open mind so you don't get an unbiased opinion. It will be interesting to hear a fresh perspective.
