Wsaving pics to phone?

Was just wondering if anyone knew of any tricks to save a pic off the net drectly to the phone like from google images or something seems like it would be easier enough

Might be easy, but why would you want to? You only have a few hundred meg on the phone (256 MB according to phonescoop), and all your apps have to live in that space, whereas you have 16 gig (that's 64 times as much) space on the card. And if you are pinched for space, you can use multiple 16gig cards and swap them out as needed. Which of course, you can't do with the internal memory...

I believe that internal memory is protected from "user" mode access, which means you would need to root your phone (which voids the warranty). I could be mistaken on that point, however.

No I wouldn't care if it saves to the card and would prefer that but I don't even see an option to save the pic directly to the card either, I'm talking directly from google images, its a pain to go to my laptop and email it all the time

What have I told you numerous times, and other have told you as well?

*L*O*N*G*P*R*E*S*S*

The *L*O*N*G*P*R*E*S*S* is your friend.

Longpress, or longtap, or whatever you want to call it on the picture. A menu pops up. If it is a link/thumbnail, there's a bazillion choices, like "share link", and "copy link location" (just like if you right-click on your laptop). One of the choices is *gasp* "Save image". Gee, that was hard. It's even easier if you are looking at the full size original image, because there's only two choices.

Once again, if you can't figure out how to do something, try long pressing on it. It won't hurt, and might open up a whole new range of choices. Think of the long press as...
