The first couple of days I had my Droid (which I love, btw) I would run through the battery by 4:00-5:00 pm. This is texting quite a bit and browsing some with using Google Navigation, but still... that's not long at all!!! So, I decided to turn the GPS off when I'm not going to use Google Navigation, and WOW. It's 10:16, I've had it off the charger since 8:00 am this morning, and still reporting 40% battery! I've used it quite a lot today as well, as I use my phone for pretty much everything (coming from at&t and iPhone 3GS). Thought I would share this tip and hope it helps some of you guys (and gals) out there with your Droid batteries!

But there is an alternative. If you go to accessories on Verizon's website. Select the Motorola DROID so you'll see only the DROID ...

I have an ipod touch and a motorola droid. I know that the iphone uses a different battery from the touch, but the Droid has INSANE battery life for what it is capable of.

Adjusting screen brightness will also help battery life. That screen is amazing, but you don't need everything super bright and crisp if you are just using it for texting/surfing. I only really turn mine up for movies and navigation
