Palm Treo Pro (CDMA)

My wife and I are on VZW, long story short the only phones we're comfortable with are WM Treo's. VZW obviously doesn't have a new one, Sprint is $110/month cheaper for us than VZW, so when the 800w hit we tried it...I tried it for about 2 weeks, thought it was ok, not amazing but not bad either. Ported our numbers over, within 24 hours my wife was demanding to go back to VZW as she hated the call quality (voice quality and dropped call issues). We went back to VZW a few days later (couldn't talk her out of it, she hated it).

Yesterday I got the Treo Pro from Sprint and this time GAVE IT TO MY WIFE. So far she's had it for 24 hours and likes it, by this time on the previous run she hated Sprint (not the 800w).

Seems that maybe there was an issue with quality with the 800w?

Anywho, VERY NICE PHONE. Slick looking, feels sturdy as can be, albeit slippery, responsiveness hasn't really improved much over say the 700wx, but it's acceptable. Lots of features etc, sound/call quality so far so good and so far no call drops (though I did call my VZW phone from it 3 times in a row, went to voicemail each time without my VZW phone ringing...VZW issue at that point, go figure).

My only complaint on it is the smooth front face where the screen plastic meets the plastic under that for the keys/keypad the seam is too obvious, could have done a better job making that portion of it more well, seamless.

Once this phone passes the wife test and I port us over and get one myself and have some time with it I'll submit an actual review.

In the meantime, we tried the 800w on Sprint, had to port back to VZW and this Pro on Sprint so far is a much better phone.
