I currently have mot VU30-which I really hate. The speaker sucks, ring tone not loud and vibrate too soft. What is the best place to buy 8360? I am only 2 months into contract with VU30, so I konw it will be expensive.
Does the 8360 play music if I bump the play button on the front, like my 8300 did? That was annoying and I didn't like having to use a lock code everytime I wanted to use phone to prevent this.
Can I e-mail my own ring tones like I did on my 8300? My VU30 won't.
Can I expect excellent speaker phone like the 8300?
thanks

Hi Bikerdan! when I purchased my 8360, it wasn't even in the Verizon stores yet. I still don't know if it is. I called the 1-800 customer service, and ordered it that way. My contract was not up either, but I had the Moto Adventure, and I hated it. I bought this phone at retail price which is $239.99. I flipped over it, and let me tell you it was worth every penny!! This phone is fabulous! It does not play music if you bump the button. As far as e-mailing ringtones, I think yes, but I don't do that so I'm not sure, but I thought I read somewhere where it said you can. And in my opinion, the speakerphone is excellent. Very crisp and clear, not muffled or any humming sounds, or sounds tinny, etc. even on the highest volume, it sounds great. ev...

I went to the Verizon store today to look at it. When I pushed and held the play button it went to the play menue. This is my only complaint that I had with the LG 6300. I keep it in my pocket and if I leaned against anything for a few seconds it began playing. My VU30 has a side lock button to prevent this. Does this phone have any lock button? If it does do I have to enter a 4 digit code to unlock? Looks like a nice phone that I would pay for except for the play button.
thanks

Bikerdan! Sorry, maybe I just didn't hold that button down long enough or something. I'm not sure if it has a lock, you might have to go to the store and ask a rep. So sorry I couldn't help with this issue. I really thought it didn't play, I guess like I said, I must have not held down button very long. Sorry, let me know how you made out.

Thanks for helping. Yes you need to hold it for a minute or so. Sometimes I would balance an object in my lap-causing it to play. It happenes at least a few times a month, prompting me to get a differen phone. The 8300 was a excellent phone though and I had hoped that they fixed it with the 8360.I also looked at the vx 8560 and it does the same thing.
Thanks again.

No problem, bikerdan! I did try and hold down the buttons, and the music list comes on, although I have nothing on there, I felt as though I had to press down pretty hard, and for at least 5 to 10 seconds before that screen came up. But I can understand for a man, why that might be a pain, if you have something pressing against it. But like I said, I had to press pretty hard and for a number of seconds. I keep mine in my purse and luckily no problem there. Have a great weekend!
