A worthy replacement for the 8300!

I still have an 8300 activated on one of my lines, the phone is built like a tank compared to recent LG models. I don't know how many times it has been dropped the stairs, or chewed on and dropped by the kids. It still works perfect. The 8350 build quality was a big step down. The 8360 build quality is very close to that of the 8300.... and after using it for a few days anyone needing a good basic phone with a little thrills will be very satisfied with this phone.

I can't wait to get this phone. I'm getting it Thursday. Ordered it through Verizon. I love the looks of this phone, plus I love Lg's. Can you tell me the color of the light on the keypad? Blue, white? Thanks a million! 😁

Thanks cellenator! I'm glad it's blue, it's my favorite color, and I've always liked it for the backlight for a phone keypad. I used to have the 8350, what crap that was, and the backlight was a dull white. Overall, the phone was made crappy, very cheap. Thanks again for the response, really appreciate it. 😁

Hi Cellenator! I got this phone today, and I just love it. By the way, the backlight on the keypad is white, not blue. But that's fine with me, it is nice and bright, call clarity excellent, gorgeous deep blue color, with the light grey interior. so glad I purchased it. battery life is awesome. Can't really think of any cons at this point. 😁

You are not kidding!! I hate Motos with Verizon. I remember the 8300 with the blue keypad. That's ok, no big deal. I like how the color of the keypad is evenly lit. On the Adventure I had, you had the numbers 123 brightly lit, then the others were kind of dull. I am so glad I got rid of it. I think this will be a good seller for Verizon. Thanks for replying.

My only complaint with my 8300 was the ease of accidently pushing the music play button on the front while in my pocket. Is this still easy to do?

Hi Bikerdan! No, for me it isn't as easy as the 8300. You really have to push kind of hard on it, and when you do, it doesn't pop up immediately. It takes some seconds. Of course, I keep mine in my purse, but I tried it with my fingers, and with the 8360 in my opinion is a little harder to do that. Now if you carry it in you pocket and have something leaning on the buttons kind of hard for at least 10 seconds or so, then it will come up. But I would have to say, you really have to lean on something with quite a bit of pressure. Hope this helps. 🙂

Thanks. I really wanted one. If you have to push harder and longer than the 8300 I think I'll get one. I really only had the problem carring packages up against me and then it started playing.Of course with my hands full I couldn't shut it off.

In my opinion, I feel you have to push a little harder, since the buttons are flush witht he phone, they are not raised. It takes some seconds for the music screen to come on. If you get this phone, let me know how you like it, hopefully you do. So far it's a 5 star rating! Good luck! 😁

I bit the bullet and bought one today for full price, since my year wasn't up on the vu30. It is really nice. I think the play button is harder to accidently play. At least this phone lets me send my own ring tones to my self. Saved some $ on that.
Thanks for your help.

Why are people paying FULL PRICE for this phone? In the store it was pretty much unremarkable. I can upgrade right now and am really not sure I want to leave behind my W755. Please let me know your experience with it over the next few days or whatever, because the ALL 5 reviews are sort of freakish too. What does this phone DO that any other phone doesn't do? lol 🙂

Mellowlen62! The people who are paying full price for this phone, including me, are the one's who's contract isn'y up yet,and maybe they want to get rid of what they have. everyone's opinion will be different. I had the W755, and I like the 8360 much better. I don't like Moto's in the Verizon network. They are too slow, lag, etc. I've heard others say the same. You don't have to leave your Moto if you don't want. We all like the style and looks of the 8360 better than the Moto, but again, it's a matter of opinion.

No, I get that. I just wanted more specifics because there's only 7 reviews or something...when I looked in the store, it was unimpressive, but then again, I'm not USING it. So I'm not being critical, but most of the time people pay full price for the latest and greatest, so I admit, I'm intrigued as to what the "magic" is with this phone. I'm not meaning to offend, really.

No problem, mellowlen62! Thanks for the response. I for one, love how it looks, the color, easy to text, call clarity crystal clear, as well as speakerphone. Great battery life, loud ringers, just to name a few things. And no offense taken, no sweat. 🙂

I'm liking the reviews about this phone. But for one reviewer, all 5's. And the one that didn't give a great score had it for one HOUR.
