LG Lotus

Greetings all. I bought my wife the Motorola S9 bluetooth headphones for her Lotus but shes having some issues. The phone and the headphones pair up ok and the music player pushes audio to the headphones, but it's starting to "jump in and out" during playback. It started to happen a little and seems to have progressively gotten more frequent. She's got the phone on her, so distance from the headphones is not an issue. I also tested the headphones on my Blackberry, and they work fine. Both devices are fully charged.

Any suggestions? Maybe a software update on the phone? Can that be done over the air with Sprint?
