I get text messages on my cell phone which i read and then answer by using the front screen. After I read then and answer they still show as unread. Does anyone else have this problem?????????? any suggestions?

To avoid mailbox clutter, why not just ERASE old messages, both sent and received?

I understand what you mean, thank you. I erase all my messages after a day or two. My question is after I read a message and respond using the exterial screen and keypad I still show an evelope which shows an unread message. Does anyone elses do that?
