Phone always turns on in pocket or purse

Is anyone else having this problem. Everytime I take my phone out of my pocket or purse the external display is on. I love the phone, but it's draining the battery. It seems that the only way to avoid this is to wear it on a belt (which I have no intention of doing). Probably returning it.

it seems like a lot of people are having the same issue. i've not had any accidental dialing or phone turning on with my env2 in my pocket or in my purse. i'm guessing y'all are wearing pretty tight jeans? that's the only way i can see the phone unlocking and pressing the speed dials. but obviously this most likely isn't the case for most of you men out there. anyway, i'm sure there'll be a software fix for this since so many people are complaining about it...if i were you i'd just wait and see what they do about it...cos it shouldn't have to be a dealbreaker when the phone itself is really great.

My phone isn't accidentally dialing in my pocket or purse (not yet anyway). Its just that the external display gets turned on too easily so whenever you bend a button gets pushed and the external display goes on. They should have made it where you have to hit and HOLD the OK button before the light goes on.

I TOTALLY agree that there should be a certain combo you must hit to unlock the phone other than any random button and then OK. I've already emailed LG about this. Their first response was "we think you have a defective phone". Which I then responded back that "no, I don't think my phone is defective, I think it's a poor design and you should have to hit a certain combo of keys like Nokia has with the Menu then *".

Does anyone know how we can try and push for LG to come up with a fix? I talked to a friend last night that has the old enV and he said he has the same problem with it.

Don't worry until you start hearing voices coming from your pocket like I did mine. About 2-3 days into having the phone, I had it in my pocket and it proceeded to call most my contact list.
