Speaker distortion/cackle

I'd mentioned before that my env2 sounded horrible in speaker phone mode and when holding to my head. I took it in and had it replaced with a brand new env2. The new one is doing the same thing. There's static like distortion in my calls and when I play ring tones and other sounds. Verizon tested my reception, and it's not that, so it's got to be inferior speakers. It kind of crackles up some.

I saw someone else mention this. So who else has this occuring? Is it annoying enough that you won't keep your phone after the 30 days?

Have you tried reducing your volume a bit?

First, I don't feel I should have to reduce my volume on my phone to not have distortion.

But secondly, it still has speaker cackle to it. This is my second enV2 and the store model also did it. I'm thinking they cheaped out or rushed the design and the speakers are not up to par for the task.

Well, I got my first one shipped from Verizon customer service before the phone was out. But the second one came from a local store.

The store listened to the first one, one girl said it fell into the "normal" catagory, and the other girl said it didn't sound right, she heard too much to describe it as normal and she wouldn't want it either, and then suggested a replacement.

But since the new one is doing the same thing basically, I have to say it's probably the whole model line and that I'm just more picky about it then others. It doesn't help that my previous phone was bulletproof and extremely clear I guess. Any distortion at all now is unusual to me.

I must say i have had mine for tow days now and it is perfect even at the highest volume. 100% better than my old Motorola. There is no crackle or distortion in mine.

Also then one i checked out a the store (owned by an employee) had no problems either.
