i know you've already heard from me...but it's been 2 weeks now, and my env2 is getting stronger signal than my v3m did in my house 😲 love it! i've also been asking everyone how i sound on their end...especially people on landlines, and they say i sound crystal clear. the only downside i've noticed so far, is that when i'm in a loud environment, it's hard to hear directly through the earpiece.

Thanks Bleu...I am glad to hear that you are having such a great experience with the phone....I was trying to get more feedback on the reception but it seems that people just don't really comment much about that when reviewing the phone...hum? Anyways thank you for responding!

With my last phone (VX9800 - The V), I got little to no reception in my condo. But it wasn't just my old-assed phone. None of my friends' phones got reception either. But with my enV2--that I've had for 1 day--I get at least one bar everywhere. I'll even get calls/texts while my phone's in my pocket in places that were dead spots before. In some places, the connection isn't great, but it's better than receiving a voice mail or text message five hours later once I step outside.

I am not terribly impressed with the reception. I've had problems with it while in stores like Walmart and Lowes. Once indoors in many cases, it drops off.

My previous phone was much stronger in these environments.

wow all the reviews are pretty impressive, i wonder if this is all over the place or just some of the shipments of phones? everyone in the forums is complaining about reception and clarity but not in the reviews??? i don't want to get one until more reviews are in...is anyone having a great experience with theirs?

I couldn't be more satisfied with a phone. Highly recommended, if you don't require a flip-style phone.

To be honest, at least what happened in my case was that I got the phone and was extremely pleased and didn't notice any flaws.

I only started noticing stuff as it came along. Like accidental dialing, or talking more on it and noticing some distortion in the speakers, or the reception problems when someone is trying to call me while I'm in a building. These weren't immediately obvious and did require some "quality time" spent with the unit.

It's still a good phone, but in my original review I gave it a 4.5 out of 5. I'd probably rate that as a 3.5 out of 5 now. Maybe a flat 4.

I figured it best to wait as well to get the phone and see what people thought after they used them for a while in a variety of locations and situations. I live in a place that is notoriously hard to get signal...I have only ever had luck with Motorolas....

Sounds like you would be better off waiting for the Motorola V750 or W755, both look very nice.
