LG enV2 (VX-9100)
Great little phone
I like everything about this, and maybe I just have a bunk phone but the reception is the pits..and the sound quality is sub par. My wife is having the same experience, so these phones are going back.

that's too bad. my experience has been quite the opposite, and i live in a fringe area. reception is the most important thing to me, so i'm still waiting out my 30 days to see if there are any negative changes...but so far so good! i would have to say though, that if reception is an issue for anyone, i'd get a moto. that's where i'm headed if this doesn't hold its own.

I'm way stoked on the reception of this phone. I've had it for two days so far.
I live in a 900sq/ft. condo that, with my old LG "The V," was impervious to reception. It was very spotty and I never got more than 1/5 bars (when it says just 1X, I count this as a bar).
With the enV2, I get calls and messages even with the phone in my pocket. Please understand that this is truly a miracle.

well maybe I just got to lemons...i will admit I'm rather picky about call clarity and these phones had poor audio imo...and I've used just about every verizon phone.
but I'm glad it's just my phones, the consensus so far seems to be good, glad they're working for you guys.

I have the Env2 and find the voice clarity very good, and this phone actually has better volume over bluetooth than others.
Check which settings you have under 'Voice Clarity' and try a few options.
'Settings and tools', sound settings, voice clarity. Just a thought.

what does 'voice clarity' do? mine came with this option automatically turned on. i turned it off because voices sounded kinda mechanized.

when ON it is suppose to automatically adjust to noisy environments by adjusting the listening level and improve speech intelligibility. it doesn't work and makes the phone sound worse imo.

I'm in agreement with you about the reception and sound quality. Easily not up to my old 8100. I even exchanged handsets and got a new enV2. It's the entire line IMO. I've mentioned the problems I have before here.
