release date?
I contacted the Verizon store and they informed me that it will be out at the end of April! Cannot wait!! I know sometimes if you go to the Verizon website, it will be posted on their website before it hit the stores so keep checking the website!!

In our equipment guide at work the env2 is now on the coming soon list! and looking at images of the phone...the date on the phone says April 20th, so i'm hoping that will be the release date! I cant wait to get out of my bulky env and into the sleek env2!!

awesome, bigred. hope they release it soon. The cool VZ rep in my neighborhood actually talked me out of the ENV & told me to wait for the ENV2. Glad I am waiting, thanks to the preview on this site. Only wish they had it in the subtle green like the predecessor. They retina-searing ORANGE can go, tho. imho.

Nicemarmot-same thing here, the verizon rep in my area told me to wait till the new ENV2 comes out. I almost bought the old ENV and glad that I waited! I CANNOT wait till it comes out! Not soon enough for me! I sure hope it's toward the end of this month according the verizon rep told me!

There is an adaptor available from many sources (Motorola for one) to adapt the standard mini usb (EMU) to the micro usb. I don't know where the best place to buy one is, but it'll put all the existing standard accessories to good use. (like the pearl charger, all recent Motorola, etc.)
Seems like an ideal phone.

Stampede. Just ordered mine via the customer service route over the phone. In Maroon. Should be fedexed to my office on Wednesday. Sweet. Go to Howard Forums and click on the thread about the ENV2 (VX9100)which gives you an idea how to get yours.

I just got off the phone with a Verizon customer service rep and she told me that while they will be released to the retail outlets on May 4th, they can be ordered direct from Verizon beginning today, April 22nd.
$349 retail

Everyone from Verizon and from other sites are saying that it's coming out in April. I don't see the enV2 listed anywhere on the Verizon website. It just got onto the LG website, but there's no release date and you can't purchase it. I still think it's going to come out at the end of April.

I got lucky, the first time I called I told the guy that I wanted to know about the env2 and the fist thing he said was "sure we got plenty available would you like it in black or maroon." But from what I read on other forums, some reps are completely clueless and don't even know about the env2.

Its not a matter of calling to get the right person. The phones are released / available by region and also takes into account the amount of inventory of the previous phone it is replacing. So until ur region is low stock on the current enV u wont be abole to get the enV2. If ur region is full of sales people talking people out of buying the enV & to wait for the enV2, they are delaying the early release fate of the phone. So then everyone has to wait till the actual release date. I'm currently in NJ & the phone is NOT available. Those that have ordered the phone what state are you in?

I'm in NJ. I was able to order mine today. Not sure if its available in stores yet. Paid $29.99 after NE2 & instant rebate. Hope I like it. I had the Voyager for about a week & returned it. Text loading was way to slow for me. Only thing I'm worried about are taking pics without the flash.
