GONE - Left VZW

I left VZW because of this phone.

I left verizon because of the 1 size fits all Operating system of this phone.

I left 6 YEARS of service because it all came down to a $0.50 operating system on a $475 phone.

I hope motorola notices a sales decline because of the verizon OS. Maybe then something will be done.

If VZW would just leave the high-end phones alone, I would be happy... but no...

I got an Iphone and AT&T, and as a phone it's mediocre, everything works as promised.

I used my V9M for 2 full weeks before it pissed me off to this point. I love VZW CDMA network... maybe one day if they remove the 'red bars OS' I hope to come back!

Please write a snail mail very polite letter to Vzw's CEO stating this. The tiny fonts (even for someone with 20/15) and UI (no choice to keep Mot's as an option) ARE factors.
Seems like EVERY company store employee I speak with agrees with this. The UI is a big help for the average person, but even my wife's 20 year old assistant has challenges with the tiny fonts. (they make them larger on VZ navigator!)

And you can see the screen on your iPhone on a fairly bright day.

I agree with CaptJeff. Please, write VZW a letter explaining to them that after 6 years, you left over the UI. If Verizon loses enough customers based on the UI, then they may actually "hear us now."

I can understand putting the UI on the basic phones - the phones the non-tech savvy people will get - but NOT on expensive phones like the V9m. They should have the intended UI. It's a bunch of BS.

The only thing that bothers me is you just wrote a rant about a crippling UI and you bought an iPhone, THE MOST locked-down and crippled phone on the market.

Don't hate on the iphone... it is definately NOT the most locked down phone, it's a lot more customizable than my v9m actually. Unfortunately I cannot own one as I work for a competing carrier, but if I had an option I would definately own an iPhone. At least my v9m doesn't have the lousy OS though... I'm sure VZW must be working on that issue, I hear an awful lot of complaints about it.
