making ringtones into mp3's?

Is there a way to make my itunes songs into mp3's while still keeping them on ITUNES so that my ipod will retain them? Thanks in advance!

Learn to handle music on a computer properly, ditch iTunes. You don't need it to manage your iPod. www.ephpod.com

Fun For Mobile has some good help files for making ringtones. It also has a link for a program called Wavepad that I found useful for converting and making mp3 files. Hope this helps..
