Hi all,

This question is for the new LG Chocolate (and I guess it would apply to the old Chocolate as well): Would you be able to use a 2.5mm stereo headphone with this phone?

I saw the new Chocolate at a Walmart store and thought about getting it, but I didn't see any headphone plug on the phone. A salesperson suggested one of those "music essential kits", and said I would need to plug an adapter into the phone and then plug a stereo headphone into the adapter (he said the adapter would stick out form the phone.) Yet, the verizon web site has some regular-looking headphones that supposedly would work with this LG Chocolate.

Thanks for the info. Just a quick question, though: I went to a Verizon store and took a closer look at this new Chocolate, but couldn't find a 2.5mm jack anywhere on the phone. Could you let me know where this 2.5mm jack is located on the phone (perhaps it has a cover somewhere and I missed it)?

Thanks much.

It is on the right side of the phone, just above the volume up/down keys and there is no cover

The 2.5mm jack is located on the left side near the top. Above the volume buttons.

Thanks for the info. Whether it's on the right or on the left, now I know it does have a 2.5mm jack and it's above the volume control.

This proves that some Verizon's salespersons are just clueless. I talked to 2 salesmen, and they both said I would need an earpiece with a retangular plug because the V8550 did not have a 2.5mm (and they said this while standing right in front of the phone 😉 )
