Q9h vs. BB8310

how would you compare the pro's and cons of this device versus those of the blackberry 8310. I will be getting new phones soon as I'm leaving verizon (the crippler)and have been looking at both this and the 8310. I used to have the samsung i730 w/ WM5 and have not used blackberrys OS before.

Do you have a compelling reason to use the Blackberry? For instance, will you be using it to access corporate email and if so, does you company support it? If they do, is it all they support? The Blackberry service and devices, especially the 8310 are excellent. However, are you going to want to tether the device to your laptop and do you care about 3G service? The Blackberry will only run on the EDGE network so it very unsuitable for tethering.

The big difference is really this. Windows has been doing multimedia longer and Blackberry has been doing mail longer. Because WM is more media centric, it's not as stable as the Blackberry platform. Thanks for your response. It was just the type of information that was looking for.
I was giving the blackberry a hard look as a replacement for my Samsung i730. Mainly for the size and what looked like a sturdy devise.
I very much like the idea of GPS navigation on my phone as well as web access .
Push e-mail is not a high priority for me . But a full HTML browser is something I do use, I currently like to listen to my favorite radio station on the web as I have very poor radio reception.
when I was looking at the blackberry it appeared to have a stripped down web browser.
and looking at the Q9h From what I've read looks like it has some form of a stripped down GPS Navigation.
The keyboard is somewhat of a priority as I have ...
