Sharp Sidekick iD

i actually one one, i think most of you dont.
I got my ID at wal-mart for 48.99 with the plan, so its not like i spent a ton of money on it. I knew what i was buying when i bought the phone, i.e. no cam, mp3, no edge, etc. The phone it self is not bad for the price. Cheaper than some phones that offers alot less. This whole forum rags on the cons, i think most of the people here do not own one to actually give a legitimate comment on it, just wanna rag on it cause it is a "core" sidekick.
the pros i like are:
durable body and custom bumpers:
i went to the mall to pimp it out and got the glow bumpers and black armor, all for 25 bucks.
it looks pretty cool now. plus as many times i dropped it, it still works fine and the screen is still not scratched. The solid body and rubber bumpers proves it can handle a rough owner.
the UI is smooth and the multitasking is amazing:
being my first SK i like switching apps. to text to web browsing to IM'ing instantly, and the light up control thing is a nice touch
(from what i know a first for sk's). i went to the t-mobile store and the employees told me the Id has the most solid software as far as reliability.
fits in my hand perfectly while using the keyboard.
Yea the browser is kinds slow BUT faster than most regular cell phone browsers.
Cool 16 bit games available, HUGE selection.
some apps. available are cool but could use more to kill boredom.
no usb, limited memory of pics.
also you can email the pics to your phone to use for the caller id's, no problem there.
Desktop interface is cool to get your email pics onto your computer and send/recieve tmail.
Reception ok but never had a dropped call.
For fifty bucks i felt i got my moneys worth and it defiantly got me hooked on the sidekick. It defiantly is geared more to kids with an active lifestyle makes a good first phone. And most kids i know carry around their digicams they don't need one on a phone, same with the mp3, who do we know doesn't have 1 or more mp3 players laying around the house?
And keep in mind it is not trying to be a treo, iphone or blackberry so quit comparing the sidekick to them. They are in a class of its own. Too many reviews i read its compared to the iphone. I DONT WANT AN IPHONE!!!!
Now having said all that and owning it for about two months now i desire something more. im leaning toward the Sk3 since i want a faster browser speed and mp3 and yea a camera, but something not too pricey. (also my girlfriend smashed her razr and needs a phone and wants mine). The Lx is very nice but the price kills it. Ill wait till next year when they drop a hundred or so off the price. So if anybody who want to drop me a Sk3 for $100 holla at me.
