get a rubber case of some sort... I got the black rubber case with a belt clip... but I don't use the clip... the rubber cover gives your hand something to hold.. It's not going to slip out of your hand... I bouth the one that is sold in the apple stores.

when I bought my iPhone I was also sold a belkin (sp) clear plastic case. Its rather bulky and comes with attached with a non removeable belt case. I didn't mind the case until I found out it didn't fit on the dock connector my second issue which frankly I was pissed about was that dirt,sand and numerious other particles had found its way under the case and caused a few little but noticeable scratches on the back of the phone. The case was 30 dollars and wound up doing more harm than good. It also never felt to secure on my belt buckle and there was one time whee it wasent even connected to mr belt it was just hanging there. Bad case! Stay away!!!!
